Future Engineering

Cloud Transformation

Cloudification is currently a hot topic, and not for nothing. In a networked world, distributed organization and the provision of data and software are essential in virtually all industries and offer numerous added values for end users. Autonomous Driving

Worldwide, the number of electric vehicles on the road is increasing rapidly - some manufacturers will soon only have electric vehicles in their line-ups. At the same time, pioneers at Lilium, Volocopter and many other emerging companies are working on electrified options for urban and regional aviation.

Without a strong cross-sectoral reduction of emitted greenhouse gases, climate change will progress unchecked and threaten human, plant and animal habitats around the world. Electrification makes it possible to use the electricity generated from renewable sources instead of fossil fuels for mobility, thus massively reducing the greenhouse gases emitted. The society's new sensitivity to the issue of climate protection and the political promotion of electromobility through subsidies have recently led to a genuine boom in the market for electric vehicles.

What makes the topic of e-mobility so important?

The transition to electrified drives poses massive challenges for entire industries. Car manufacturers are working at full speed to develop new, profitable and feasible vehicle concepts. In the shortest possible time, they are trying to ensure that the new vehicles meet their customers' high expectations. Technological development must be integrated into the supply chains and the production capacities for the new vehicles and components must be expanded accordingly. The shift in primary value creation from the internal combustion engine to the battery is bringing a lot of turmoil to an established industry.

The availability and reliability of a suitable charging infrastructure in public spaces is a key element for a positive e-mobility experience. To this end, a sufficiently powerful charging infrastructure must be established in urban areas and along the transport axes to cater for the supply of electric vehicles at all times. Quantum Computing

Quantum computing has the potential to revolutionize many industries and fields.
